Do you have a heart for mission and an adventurous spirit? We are actively recruiting 5-10 young, mission-minded, innovative, gospel-centered Adventist families to move to Bangor to join our team of missionaries. There is so much potential here and the harvest is truly plentiful but the laborers are few.
Fortunately, our local church has discovered that people haven’t so much rejected God, Jesus, Christianity, or even church, per se; many simply either haven’t really heard or considered the gospel in any significant way, or have rejected our lifeless, formal, traditional, narrow-minded versions of Jesus and church. Truly, there are many people who are seeking, and who are open to authentic Christianity; they just haven’t really encountered it.
We have committed to changing that in our corner of the globe.
And we’d love to recruit you to help us!
But you wouldn’t be doing it alone. You’d be joining a young, active, vibrant, growing family of disciples that are seeking to be a safe, serving, and Jesus-centered community. We also have a growing school that can provide a solid, Scripture-based education for your children.
So fill out the form below if you want more information about our vision. You can also check out our website, reading about our vision and values, learning about missional communities, and finding out more about our leaders. The church is a young, vibrant, growing church with an average age of 40, and approximately 40-50% of those participating under the age of 12.
And a note about the city of Bangor: Bangor is the third-largest city in Maine, serving as the cultural and commercial hub for the northern half of Maine. It has a young population, with the University of Maine just up the road, and is home to one of the world’s most famous authors. With two large hospitals, the city has a large medical community, drawing a large international population. For those who like adventure, the city is close to world-class outdoor fun, with Acadia National Park, on Maine’s famed rocky coastline, a short drive away, and Baxter State Park, home to Mt. Katahdin and the northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail (and the last remaining wilderness in the United States, east of the Mississippi River), a short drive in the other direction.
